Houston Methodist to serve as title sponsor for local races.

HOUSTON – (July 15, 2024) - Onurmark Productions, a leading organizer of multisport and running events, is thrilled to announce a multi-year partnership with Houston Methodist, a leading expert in orthopedics and sports medicine. Houston Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine will serve as the title sponsor for the Sugar Land Half Marathon and the Texas City Triathlon this fall. The local races aim to inspire athletes of all ages and abilities, paving the way for a healthier future for all participants.

The first event, the Houston Methodist Texas City Triathlon, Duathlon or Aquabike, will be held Saturday, Sept. 21, and is a multisport racing event with a community-focused atmosphere. It features a beginner-friendly, sandy-bottom swim, a flat fast, almost fully closed bike course on the Texas City Dike and a run through Bay Street Park’s paved and gravel trails.

The Houston Methodist Sugar Land Half & 10k will mark its third year on Sunday, Oct. 13. A single loop with almost all right turns, the course is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful in the Houston area. The event features a post-race celebration for the entire family, with a variety of food and live music.
