2023 Weather
Last year’s weather was perfect. Morning air temps in 50’s and the race settled in the low 60’s once the sun came up with somewhat low humidity by Houston area standards. While any time of year has the “potential” to be warm/hot in the metro Houston area, mid to late Oct is usually great running weather an on the cooler side.

Inclement Weather Protocol
In the unlikely event of bad weather (lightning, flooding, hurricane force winds, etc) we will delay 20-minutes at a time until the weather clears. If the weather does not clear we will assess the situation 20-minutes at a time (on-going) and decide what necessary steps need to be taken to still have the event as a shortened distance (half to 10k). We do NOT want to alter or cancel the event but we will do what is necessary to ensure the safety of our athletes. Please know that whatever is decided in a bad weather situation it is with your best interest in mind.
